In a heartwarming show of family unity and admiration, Hema Malini and Esha Deol recently expressed their support for Sunny Deol’s latest film, Jaat. Hema, who is married to Sunny’s father, the legendary Dharmendra, shared how proud the entire family feels about the film’s success.
Speaking to Instant Bollywood, Hema shared, “I heard the film opened to a great response. It’s truly heartening to see audiences embrace it with such love. Dharam ji is very happy. The film, from what I’ve heard, is really wonderful.”
Esha Deol echoed the sentiments with deep affection, saying, “I’m genuinely so happy for him. This success is the result of his dedication and the affection people continue to show him. It’s beautiful to see him receive the love he deserves.”
Jaat made a strong start at the box office, earning ₹9.5 crore on its opening day and reaching ₹16.5 crore within two days. The film follows the massive success of Gadar 2, which had touched an astounding ₹525.7 crore during its run.
Sunny Deol’s journey doesn’t stop here—he’s also announced two new projects: Border 2 and Lahore 1947. The latter marks a heartfelt reunion with his acclaimed director Rajkumar Santoshi, with whom he previously worked on classics like Ghayal and Ghatak. The collaboration is even more special as Lahore 1947 is being produced by Aamir Khan, with Preity Zinta set to star alongside Sunny.
Border 2, directed by Anurag Singh, promises to bring powerful storytelling once again, featuring stars like Diljit Dosanjh and Varun Dhawan. Like its predecessor, this film is set against the backdrop of the 1971 war, aiming to evoke deep emotions and national pride.
Through every project and every success, it’s clear that Sunny Deol continues to receive unwavering support—not just from fans, but from his family, who stand proudly beside him.
